Good News for Applicants Who Submitted Demand Notices for Single-Phase Meters

Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced good news for consumers who submitted demand notices for single-phase electricity meters, confirming that meters have now been issued for notices submitted up to September.

According to sources, LESCO had temporarily halted new single-phase connections in August due to a shortage of meters. However, the company has now resumed installations and started issuing meters against demand notices submitted by September.

In addition, LESCO has decided to install meters for demand notices submitted in August, September, and October as well. More than 35,000 consumers had submitted demand notices for new connections, depositing approximately Rs. 2.5 billion in total.

Previously, connections were suspended after LESCO ran out of static single-phase meters. In November, the company revised its policy and shifted to AMI smart single-phase meters, paving the way for the resumption of new connections.
